The first edition of Kaixomundua.eus has already winners

The PuntuEus Foundation, in collaboration with the Euskaltel and Dinahosting Foundation, has held the first edition of the Kaixomundua.eus competition. The educational project and competition Kaixomundua.eus, aimed at the school community, aims to promote knowledge of digital skills by learning to create websites. In addition, the project aims to promote the creation of digital content in Basque.

During the 2019-2020 academic year, there were 225 groups enrolled in the project. In total, almost 700 students have developed their projects in order to participate in the contest for the best web of each category. However, the health emergency situation of the Covid-19 has forced many schools to adapt to the new situation and with them the Kaixomundua.eus competition has also had to make their deadlines more flexible. For this reason, many of the educational centers that started on this first edition have not managed to deliver their work.

Winners

A game to promote gender equality, the proposal to measure the pollution of Zalla and the project that offers web services are the winners and winners of the 2019-2020 edition of the Kaixomundua.eus contest. Together with them, a jury made up of experts, researchers and professionals wanted to make a special mention of the Euskera-Spanish dictionary project.

In the same category, the jury wanted to make a special mention and thus highlight the Euskera-Spanish dictionary made by Joritz Garro and Julen Izeta of the Ikastola Salbatore Mitxelena (Zarautz, Gipuzkoa): www.sermo.eus.

With the Kaixomundua.eus project, students and students have been able to learn how to create a real web through a practical motivational work. The goal is twofold: on the one hand, students can move from digital consumers to digital creators and on the other, they will have the opportunity to develop digital skills. In addition, the competition aims to reinforce the training of teachers who need technological training.

Students from all over the Basque Country in the first edition

The school community of Araba, Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa, Navarra and Lapurdi participated in the first edition of the Kaixomundua.eus competition. In total, among the students of ESO, Batxiller and Training Cycles 225 groups have been formed, each of them two, three and four members.

Registration course 2020-2021

Schools that want to register for the next course will have the opportunity to do so from autumn. We will continue to pay attention to the state of health caused by Covid-19 and take into account the incidents to adjust the pace of the project. All interested persons and the school community will receive the information to register through the usual channels.
